MOUNTAINSIDE POTTERY CERAMIC FIGURINE
Beautiful rare sculptural bust of a lady, in a cream Oriental crackle glaze, with terra cotta color undertones. Made by Mountainside Pottery of New Jersey. John Kovacs, a Hungarian Immigrant made the pottery from about 1929 to 1941 and was associated with the Rutgers University Ceramics Club. The figure has beautiful features and a head of curls pulled back at her neck. She measures 5.5" high x 5" x 3". Signed with engraved MP mark. Excellent condition, with some irregularities in the curls on her head as shown in picture.

Set of 4 Square Dinner Plates #31 in an Abstract Loop Pattern with Teal and Charcoal Gray on Cream Heavy Stoneware. Pottery started by Glidden Parker in 1940 in Alfred, NY after finishing at the famed School of Ceramics at Alfred University. The plates measure approx 9.50" - 9.75" small dinner plates. They are hand painted & handcrafted, with irregularities in the making, but no damage. Marked Glidden 31. They are in Very Good condition, with a little use wear.
